Isyqie commenced her pupillage under the litigation practice group of Messrs Zul Rafique & Partners. There, she was largely involved in commercial & general litigation disputes involving complex questions of law, including the constitutionality of a State enactment, interpretation of the Companies Act 2016 which was recently updated at the time, as well as tortious claims involving renowned statutory bodies.
Isyqie then began her practice as an advocate & solicitor at Messrs Lee Hishammuddin Allen & Gledhill, specializing in employment law and industrial relations. It was during this time that Isyqie honed her skills as a trial lawyer. Her areas of expertise include unlawful dismissal claims emanating from acts of misconduct, poor performance as well as retrenchment exercises. Isyqie also regularly assisted Counsels for judicial review proceedings at the High Court.
Isyqie currently heads the firm’s IR Department and is primarily equipped to assist clients in all HR related aspects, be it contentious or advisory.
At HAP, Isyqie has successfully pursued claims and defended clients in a number of matters including construction disputes, tenancy disputes, tortious claims, and debt recovery actions.
Isyqie brings to the table a creative outlook and approach in solving disputes. Her sedulous and unrelenting attitude are comforting for stress-ridden clients.
