Hisyam commenced his pupillage under the tutelage of Datin Seet Hooi Ping in the corporate department of Messrs Albar & Partners. Reading in the chambers of Messrs Albar & Partners has exposed him to the broad spectrum of corporate exercises involving multinational corporations. He was involved in various corporate exercises ranging from corporate restructuring, initial public offering, mergers & acquisitions, issuance of sukuk, real estate investment trusts and share acquisitions, mainly focusing on corporate due diligence, regulatory compliance and advisory works.
Hisyam then briefly joined Messrs Mohamed Ridza & Co as a paralegal during which he was involved in several commercial transactions relating to the establishment of franchises, joint ventures, cross-border acquisitions by a foreign corporation and sale & purchase of industrial leases. He was also exposed to other corporate and share concepts including Islamic preference shares.
Hisyam has extensive knowledge and experience in the machinery of government. Diverse engagements with multiple federal and state government bodies and agencies have served him well in meetings at all levels, giving excellent advicesto all the stakeholders.
At HAP, Hisyam heads the Corporate & Commercial as well as Conveyancing departments where he leads various real estate transactions including sale and purchase, concessions, leases and tenancies of lands and commercial premises worth several millions. Hisyam is well experienced in commercial transactions having been involved in the advisory and preparation of a wide range of agreements which are essential to the daily operation of business to large scale transactions including management contracts, R&D and technology sharing agreements.
Hisyam’s clients range from public listed companies including Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad, developers the likes of Putrajaya Holdings Sdn Bhd as well as statutory bodies including Perbadanan Kemajuan Pertanian Selangor.
