Hisyamuddin Mohamed

Hisyam commenced his pupillage under the tutelage of Datin Seet Hooi Ping in the corporate department of  Messrs. Albar & Partners . Reading in the chambers of Messrs. Albar & Partners has exposed him to the broad spectrum of corporate exercises involving multi national corporations. He was involved in various corporate exercise ranging from corporate restructuring, initial public offering, merger & acquisition, issuance of sukuk, Real Estate Investment Trusts and share acquisitions,  mainly focusing on corporate due diligence, regulatory compliance and advisory.

Hisyam then briefly joined Mohamed Ridza & Co as a paralegal during which he was involved in several commercial transactions relating to establishment of franchise, joint ventures, cross-border acquisitions by a foreign corporation and sale & purchase of industrial lease. He was also exposed to other corporate and share concepts including Islamic preference shares.

Prior to establishing HAP, Hisyam served as Legal Officer in Perbadanan Kemajuan Pertanian Selangor, a statutory body of the State Government of Selangor. It was the where he obtained extensive knowledge and experience in the machinery of government. Diverse engagements with multiple federal and state government bodies and agencies has served him well in meetings at all levels, giving advises satisfactory to all stakeholders.

Hisyam was also hands-on in various real estate transactions including sale and purchase, concessions, leases and tenancies of lands and commercial premises worth several millions. Hisyam is well experienced in commercial transactions having been involved in the advisory and preparation of wide range of agreements essential to the daily operation of business to large scale transactions including management contracts, R&D and technology sharing agreements.

His stint as an in-house corporate counsel lends an insight towards providing a practical and dynamic solutions to the needs of clients and businesses.

Abduh Hafidz

Abduh commenced his legal career by reading in the chambers of Dato’ Lim Chee Wee of Messrs Skrine. As a pupil in Skrine, he was also under the guidance and tutelage of one of the front-runners in Banking and Islamic Finance, Mr. Oommen Koshy. It was under their esteemed instruction, he obtained a wealth of knowledge and experience, which have since served him well in court room litigation. Upon completing his pupilage, Abduh was immediately retained as an Associate in Skrine in the corporate litigation unit where he assisted Counsel at all levels of Court.

During his stint in Skrine, Abduh was involved in a range of commercial and civil litigations relating to, shareholders disputes, a breach of directors duties case, enforcement of an Anton Pillar Order in a multimillion dollar fraud, shipping and freight logistical disputes, as well as securities litigation and regulatory enforcement cases, amongst other things. He was also exposed to corporate recovery exercises, winding-up and liquidation of companies, as well as enforcement of banking securities, during his time there.

In mid-2017, Abduh was offered to join the Malaysian Judicial and Legal Service. There his first posting was as Special Officer III, of the 8th Chief Justice of Malaysia, YABhg Tun Raus Sharif. He gained a wealth of experience in serving the No. 1 post in the Judiciary, especially in research and in the preparation of land mark rulings of the Federal Court. In that office, he was privileged to have sat as Registrar when the Federal Court was seating in Sabah and Sarawak.  Upon the retirement of the 8th Chief Justice, Abduh was then posted as Senior Assistant Registrar at the Appellate and Special Powers Court. He also regularly sat as Magistrate, in Putrajaya and Kuala Lumpur during his time in the Judicial Service.

Abduh brings to the table a unique skill set, having sat on both sides of the Court room. He has had the privilege of experiencing very few his age have or may experience in their lifetime. Abduh aims high and always finds a client oriented approach at solving any legal dispute.
